The Gorgeousness of a Jungle-themed Wedding…

Rich in greenery and luscious beauty, the country boasts various landscapes and serves as a beautiful setting for any adventurous wedding. A country with various natural settings that reflects all kinds of nature offers the greatest options for jungle weddings. A wedding in the Jungle is one of the most unique ways to tie a sacred knot with your partner that will go on to be a memory of a lifetime.

When Mother Nature is your designer of the event, there isn’t a need for much extra decoration. Extraordinary objects such as dreamcatchers or natural clusters woven with twigs and ferns lend a certain interest in viewing the already beautiful scenery that already exists.

Wedding gatherings

Extended pool party

A fun pool party is the perfect Kickstarter for a wedding that is guaranteed to break the ice between the Ladkiwale and Ladkewale. It’s a cold story with no decor and many games. The bride and groom enjoy each other’s company brightly and refreshingly with their family and friends while enjoying their beer and snacks. Everyone is wearing their best clothes. However, the bride has stolen all the ascents with her bright pink dresses paired with a straight poker hairstyle.

Comfort brunch

A brunch has been arranged with a home felt comfort. Since it’s just close family and friends, nobody needs to dress up fancy. Everyone can wear something they can enjoy at their maximum capacity. The seating arrangement can be park-style community tables and chairs where everyone can sit with others and enjoy and also bond over barbeque sliders and whatnot.

Weddings are very enjoyable but can also be very stressful. The least we can do is start the day in a fun way and then work up the stress. Comfort brunch seems like the best way to do it, and the greenery just adds a little oomph to it.

A forest of dreams

Jungle themed weddings are a great combination of uplifting decorations, rich colours and soul-stirring traditions. The ace team can work on their magic and turn the wedding venue (bride’s home) into an official forest. While the entrance can be adorned with mogra trellis & vegetable bins, seated lounges can be covered with grass and moss, green emerald sofas, printed cushions, and wooden tables add finishing touches. The wedding stage was also decorated with large flowers. But this beautiful photoshoot touched our hearts!

Glittering in the old red lehenga embroidered on gota patti & thread work makes the bride look perfect. She can embellish her bridal ensemble with a unique bible necklace, matching earrings and a beautiful kamarband. To decorate her heavily loaded mehndi hands, she can choose from many chunky bangs and remove her entire look with a gajra hairdo and clean makeup. On the other hand, the groom can complement the bride with the beautiful ivory tower sherwani, and the coloured tie-dye tie.

Allow ferns and leaves amp to set up your wedding dining

A beautiful and leafy dining table layout covered with a cove of tree branches with hanging bulbs can give a unique look. Guests can enjoy the taste of an Indian meal in the combination of a sweet and spicy menu.

Happy forest weddings are about fairies, forest nymphs and love of nature. Here are some details that would need your attention –

1. Wedding dresses

If you are a bride, go for a beautiful and unusual wedding dress that combines your theme and space. It can include lace appliques and floral fabrics or butterflies, it can be a colourful wedding dress – gold or green reminiscent of a place, a colourful beaded wedding dress to stand out from the trees or anything else you feel amazing about.

2. Wedding decoration

Wedding paintings right there in the forest should highlight its beauty and include details inspired by the forest wherever possible and as much as possible. Attend a wedding decorated with leaves or flowering branches depending on the season. Decorate the reception tables set directly in the forest with leaves, moss table runners or table cloths, wildflowers, mushrooms, tree stumps and tree trunks.

Use colourful vases and placemats. Place more candles in candle holders. Cover the reception tables with lace trunks decorated with moss, greenery, and lanterns. The green roof and moss (if it is an interior space) with headlights and headlights look great.

3. Wedding cakes

Choose buttercream or nude wedding cakes with fruit, berries and greens and flowers. Show yourself on tree stumps and cuttings, with moss, blooms and leaves and even false nests all around. Put out the candles and put your desserts in the cloth to avoid bugs. Enjoy that magical forest at your wedding!

A short walk into the forest took visitors to the Vows Ceremony with an altar under a candle! Tall trees had bulb hinges hanging from the main trees wearing bright red drapes and butterflies lined with mythical lights. It is a touching night that strengthened the love of the two.

Conclusion

Jungle-themed weddings are a unique idea and also it’s not easy to find that can be chosen for the wedding theme. Guests will enjoy the decor and arrangements. The different moss decor, natural backdrops, tree stumps for seating and at last, the BBQ in the cuisine. Couples can enjoy and feel overwhelmed taking their vows in the middle of a forest, under an old banyan tree, surrounded by their loved one to celebrate the big day. However, a concept like this is likely new in India. When India boasts of striking tropical forests, then why not plan a tropical jungle destination wedding.

Know it all: How to plan a Wedding During a Pandemic

The Coronavirus pandemic has been very unsettling and uncertain and has made us cancel many of our precious plans. Now, that the pandemic has settled down and is moderate, we recently helped an amazing couple organise and plan a beautiful 3-day Jaipur wedding, the dates being 5th-7th December!

We assured them that even with the ongoing pandemic, we would ensure and regulate everything so that the wedding has no disturbances and is safe. The wedding took place at the gorgeous Alila Bishangarh Fort in Jaipur, with a total of 150 guests where we helped ensure proper sanitation and safety.

Here are specific safety measures we take and suggest you to take to ensure a safe wedding during the Covid-19 pandemic:-

Compulsory Masks

Masks have been the norm for a long time now, and a wedding should not be a reason not to wear them. Wearing masks should be a mandatory norm to be followed during weddings and should only be taken off in small groups for quick pictures. ‘quick’ being the keyword. This is also an excellent opportunity for wedding planners and the couple to issue customised masks for all the guests.

Limited Guest List

To avoid a huge crowd, it is suggested to keep the guest list very limited. If you plan to have more than 100 members at your wedding, it is advised that you book a bigger venue to ensure proper social distancing to avoid a crowd of members in a small room. Do make sure you check government regulation before planning your guest list as some states only allow 50 people.

Sanitation of all and for all

To reduce and avoid the risk of contracting the virus, the whole venue and every single item used should be sanitised and adequately cleaned. A hand sanitiser dispenser which can be operated by pushing the pedal by foot should be placed in all corners to ensure quick sanitation before touching any surface.

Choose an Outdoor Wedding

An outdoor wedding venue ensures proper oxygen, ventilation and reduces the risk of transmission. A cramped room increases the risk of contracting the virus by 18 times than outdoors with proper social distancing.

Ask for Covid test

To ensure maximum safety, you can advise your guests to go through COVID-19 testing three days before the wedding to get their reports before attending the function. Those who do not have any symptoms and test negative can confirm their presence, and those who feel sick should not feel shy to cancel to avoid any risk of getting sicker or infecting other people.

Always follow social distancing

Ensure your venue has marks that remind and call for social distancing norms. All the guests should maintain proper distance while eating and dancing. Do not dance too close, ensure a small group or a big circle with some space for dancing off to the wedding songs.

Personalise or tag individual items

All the items like masks, glass, plates, etc., should be tagged to avoid what thing belongs to whom. Even better, arrange for use and throw plates and cups to eliminate the mix-up. This way, proper safety and sanitation are maintained.

Have Virtual attendees to your wedding

Who wouldn’t like to be surrounded by friends and family on such an important day of your life? The pandemic didn’t make it any easier for people to attend safe weddings due to travel bans and health concerns. In times like these, adopt the trend of a covid wedding, where people can attend it virtually. The at-risk people like, senior citizens, new-borns, and children are advised to not step into a crowded location hence making them virtual attendees so that they can still be a part of your happy day.

Send E- Thank you notes and gifts

In Indian culture, sometimes gifts seem like a must during weddings. Since many can’t be physically present, the couple can express their gratitude for attending the wedding online by sending E- thank you notes. Similarly, the guests who couldn’t physically be present and give gifts can choose to send them via mail or use e-vouchers.

Set some ground rules

Organising a Pandemic wedding should come with certain restrictions to ensure proper safety regulations. It is suggested to set simple rules, such as all guests should always carry a small bottle of sanitiser with them, every staff and the bride and groom should also wear masks while meeting a large group, etc.

Remember that you are not alone in this pandemic, and there are couples like you who are still waiting to fix a new date for their wedding. We have your back every step of the way. We will do our best to help you plan your dream wedding even with a pandemic and ensure that safety measures are always taken and are followed till the very end.

Chadar Trek Jan 2021 by Suitcase Diaries

THE OVERVIEW

Chadar Trek, as the name implies, Chadar a sheet to cover. It’s the time when mother na- ture decides to cover herself with a layer of ice and make the way for locals to stay in touch with their Motherland, Padum. Winters across Ladakh are indeed harsh and freezing cold, mercury plummets to likes of -30 degree Celsius; there is snow all around; Rivers and water streams starts freezing.

The road to many regions gets closed for months. And it’s the time when nature comes to rescue Zanskaris and pave an ice path to connect their home. At the same time, trek- king enthusiasts flock Leh and experience this adventurous and daunting route used by Locals.

In terms of Trekking Terminology, this trek is Moderate in nature wherein we trek not more than 5-6hrs in a day and under an altitude of 3800m. The only thing that makes it tough and challenging is freezing weather during the trekking month. It involves walking over a thick layer of ice, with water underneath it.

The thickness of ice cover may vary from place to place and trek guide has pivotal role to play for its successful execution.

If you have been to Leh and not tried this trek, you are definitely missing something. It is definitely ‘A Walk of your Lifetim

Day – 1

ARRIVAL & ACCLIMITIZATION

Today you arrive at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport at Leh. Once you board the flight to Leh, know that you are going to see beautiful mountains and you must not miss on clicking them from your shutterbugs.

Upon arrival you shall be transferred to your Hotel. You will be welcomed by chilly air and hopefully some sunshine.

It is strictly recommended to rest today and give time to your body for altitude acclimatization. You may go on a short evening walk to Shanti Stupa nearby, but if at any time you feel uneasy/dizzy/tiresome, get back to your hotel immediately. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day – 2

ACCLIMATIZATION

This day is meant to acclimatize with the change in altitude again. However, you might like to explore the local market to buy out trek essentials. Taxi if required will be available and charged extra, directly payable. During the afternoon, you could try some Ladakhi Cuisine for lunch; try the Thupka or Steamed / Fried Momos. Those with a bigger appetite could opt for the Kashmiri Wazwan. Vegetarians can head to Neha Snacks for authentic North Indian food. Later after lunch you might want to explore Leh (at own cost). Recommended attractions are Hall of Fame / Gurudwara Pathar Sahib / Leh Palace / Shanti Stupa, as time permits. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day – 3

FITNESS DAY

Today we will visit the city hospital for medical checkup. Due to the health problems the trekkers have faced in past, it is now mandatory to spend three days at Leh and acclimatize well before you begin the trek. Allow your body to get used to the cold. Today, post lunch you could further explore Leh as time permits.

The trekkers can go further to the trek only if they pass this checkup. Overnight stay at hotel.

Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill and the confluence of the Zanskar and Indus are some of the places where you can take a pit stop for clicking memorable pictures.

An hour and a half of driving along the Zanskar will get you to Chilling and then further to Bakula. The car will drop you right where the road ends. This will be your starting point for walking on the Zanskar.

Walking on the ice will be the first challenge you will face. You can check for the ice formation using your walking pole before stepping your foot. Be ready to fall on your bum or on your knees many times on the Chadar. Its okay and you will remember it and laugh off when you will be back home. We trek to the first Campsite Shingra.

Day – 5

SHINGRA KOMA TO TIBB (3,350M)

Walking time 5 hours. In the morning, pack up and trek on ice of the Frozen Zanskar River – The Chadar, as we continue towards our second camp at Tibb Cave. The Zanskar Valley is the most isolated in the Trans-Himalayas and that true sense of remoteness will become all the more evident as we approach our camp. After walking for 3 hours, stop for hot lunch and rest.

Today, the route will get tortuous and will offer more of zig-zag crossings as the valley gets narrower. But sometimes surprises await you in the evenings at camp.

Arrive at Tibb Cave for overnight stay.

Meals Provided: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Accommodation: Camp at Tibb Cave

Day – 6

TIBB – NEYRAK (3,400M)

Walking time 5-6 hours. As usual with the sunrise, pack up and start walking on the ice – The Chadar.

We will encounter some spots of hot spring where the ice may not be strong and needs to be checked by the guide. If the ice is weak, we may have to climb a small peak to avoid River Crossing.

Trek on the frozen River till Neyrak – one of the windiest places around. Come across some stunning Frozen Waterfalls on this day. The Frozen Waterfall is nature’s masterpiece in itself and attracts lots of trekkers from across the globe.

Here, you will come across an old, dilapidated bridge on the river, claimed by the villagers to be more than 1,000 years old.

Arrive at Neyrak and settle in your camp for overnight stay. Neyrak village is situated just above a small cave where we plan to setup the camp. If we reach on time, you might like to trek to the village too.

Meals Provided: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Accommodation: Camp at Neyrak

Day – 7

NEYRAK – TIBB (3,350M)

Walking time 4-5 hours. Trek back to Tibb. We will be retracing our steps back to the previous campsites. The most astonishing fact about the Chadar Trek is its ever-changing nature. Though you have trekked the same way back, you will still be amazed at how different the trail and surroundings look on the way back.

You will see a lot of locals around, and will be surprised to see how these people have adapted to such harsh temperatures & lifestyle and endured all this with a smile.

Meals Provided: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Accommodation: Camp at Tibb

Day – 8

TIBB – SHINGRA KOMA (3,369M)

Walking time 5 hours. Today will be much safer and easier comparing to the previous days. Take it easy, capture as many experiences as you can; these are the moments that will be itched in your memories for a lifetime.

We will be just concluding the Trek; this one would be a penultimate day over the Chadar.

Meals Provided: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Accommodation: Camp at Shingra

Day – 9

SHINGRA TO BAKULA BAO – DRIVE BACK TO LEH

of Trek): Walking time 2 hours. Trek for couple of hours until Bakula/ where the road begins. Vehicle will be ready to drive back to Leh (2-3 hours).

Pamper yourself with a much needed hot ehow- er and a great dinner.

7 Key Reasons Why a Professional Event Planner is a Must for Successful Events?

Is your company planning a conference in another city? Are you getting married? Looking to host a celebration party? Are you an industry association outlining a B2B exhibition event?

Your reason for organizing any event may vary but the fundamental need for professional event planning services remains the same. There are multiple elements and little details to look into for any event. So, hiring an event manager is an intelligent choice for successful and smooth execution of any type of event.

Let us give you not one, two or three, but seven consequential reasons for bringing on board an event planner for your next event.

Time & Money Savers

Running an event is a complex exercise. Experienced event planners have a well-connected network of suppliers and vendors allowing them to negotiate and avail better prices from them. If you individually plan the event, you not only overspend but tend to invest a lot of time coordinating everything. Thus, an event organiser can save you a considerable amount of time and money.

Innovative Event Ideas & Tailored Solutions

Apart from well-proven and tested event themes and formats for foolproof event organizing, event planners can also conceptualise exclusive events as per your specific requirements. Depending on your budget, event timeline, and distinct needs, event planners can suggest creative event ideas backed by logic, reasoning, and most importantly, their possible execution.

Can Help You Stay within the Event Budget

The whims and fancies of the clients, especially, couples planning their weddings can make them forget their event budgets putting the family or the business entity under unnecessary financial strain. Having an event planner on board can really help keep you grounded and well-within the budgets through intricate planning.

High-tech Technical Support

Hiring an event manager comes with the benefit of advanced technological support for your event which not only amps up the vibe of the entire event but also drastically reduces the chances of manual discrepancies. Arrangement of various event-specific supporting services, for example, websites for business events, AV technologies at the events, social media profiles for weddings, etc., can also be efficiently accommodated by the event organizers.

Smooth Execution on the Event Day(s)

All the planning boils down to how the event is executed on the D-day. With an event planner by your side, you can focus on attending to the guests and carrying out your core tasks, as they take care of all the event-related activities. Managing the event staff, coordinating with the caterers, synchronization of AV needs, lighting effects, and all the other details are managed by the event planner to help you host a glitch-free and memorable event.

Planning for Contingencies and Risk Management

The best part of hiring event planners is that they understand the importance of backup plans. A lot can go wrong during events. Period. And, a good event planner always has contingency plans in place to mitigate the event risks like power failure, medical emergencies, etc..

Offload Your Stress

Due to the many broad and little elements involved, managing an event is undoubtedly a stressful job. Doing it by yourself can lead to late nights, anxiety, and even headaches when you see the event date fast approaching. Therefore, giving it to an event management company can relieve you of all this stress as for them, it is their day-to-day work and they are highly skilled at handling all the activities with expertise.

The Conclusion

Be it a wedding, a birthday, an anniversary celebration, or any business or marketing-related event, it is highly recommended to have a trusted and reliable event organizer on board that can make your event a success and leave your guests or attendees with an experience that they cherish forever.

Top Reasons To Book your Travel through an ‘Offline’ Travel Consultant

Quoting Oscar Wilde that ….

Live with no excuses and travel with no regrets” is true for this moment, tomorrow and will always remain the same.

We all love travel, to explore the unknown. Hence for a perfectly planned travel itinerary & an incredible experience, one surely needs a good travel advisor on the go. But why pick/choose an offline travel consultant over the giant OTA’s ~ the online travel agents ?

Here are top reasons to book through an ‘offline’ travel agent :-

PERSONALISED SERVICE & CUSTOM PLANS
Advocating travelers to unleash the full potential of every holiday is always a priority. Personal interaction helps you to be specific about your needs and customize vacation with utmost perfection. Customers are not forced to comply with an established service model and have the liberty to take things at their own pace.

EXPERIENTIAL TRAVEL IDEAS
An OTA dealing with thousands visiting their portals can never curate an EXPERIENCE-BASED travel itinerary for you wherein they are keen to make the numbers. However, a travel expert would take pride in suggesting such unique experiences which enhance & satiate your travel fetish.

GAMUT OF KNOWLEDGE
Imagine your itinerary being curated by a freshly recruited call-center staff versus an experienced traveler himself who knows the destination inside-out and gives you insights on the minutest facets of your travel plan.

SAVES TIME
TIME IS MONEY could not be more relevant than when planning your own travel. You must have been through the tedious task of surfing for hours on the internet without concluding anything substantial. From extensive travel research, ready plans, multiple comparisons, tedious booking process to final payment & reservation, a travel expert offers you seamless options that save you the invaluable time & effort on your well-earned weekends and/or after long working hours.

SAVES UNWANTED EXPENSES
You must have experienced spending endless hours on OTA’s, reaching the payment page during checkout only to find out the stepped-up prices due to additional taxes & convenience charges, payment processing fees etc. An Offline agent would save you such unwanted expenses.

BEST DEALS
An offline consultant is constantly connected with Hotels, Airlines etc. on a personal level and has best deals to offer unlike the OTA’s who sell on pre-fixed rates which may be outdated. Offline travel consultants are transparent with prices & are more likely to open their cupboards to offer the best deal available for you including perks such as complimentary room upgrades etc.

REAL TIME INDUSTRY UPDATES
As per research, approximately 62% of people have no clue about the destination when they begin to plan a vacation. An in-depth & thorough knowledge of the industry, global destinations, cultures, best time to visit along with other regular updates are some of the many perks that an offline travel advisor ensures for their clients while making their travel plans.

CUSTOMER CENTRIC
A focus on customer preference keeps you in control of your travel plans, and you are not forced to avail what you do not desire. A conscious effort to create a fulfilling customer experience keeps you on the forefront.

COST EFFICIENT
A traveler must spend only as much to make it worth. Offline consultants maintain the price stability without creating a false sense of urgency such as “1 room left” or “73 others are looking at this hotel”, holds up prices for you for at least a day & ultimately offers an overall stress-free experience. What more can a traveler ask for?

QUICK RESPONSE WITH 24/7 ASSISTANCE & FRIENDLY APPROACH
Travel agents come to your rescue much sooner than the online personnel. If your booking or flight gets cancelled or if you want to reschedule your plans, it would be much easier to reach your travel agent whom you simply need to message or directly call for a friendly conversation. In contrast, you would definitely remember that time when you waited for hours on call-center of an OTA without getting any assistance. Most OTA’s have now even stopped talking directly to their customers and expect them to communicate only via online applications & emails.

RESPONSIBLE & RELIABLE
When you know a person directly, you can hold him responsible and rely upon if anything goes awry, however in case of online agents you have no clue who’s on the other side and you cannot hold anyone responsible.

CONVENIENT PAYMENT TERMS
With the possibility of availing input credit for GST, would you want to miss an opportunity for the same? Online OTA’s allow you only one opportunity to fill in your GST details else you cannot make amends later. However, an offline agent would always accommodate your subsequent requests and also offer convenient payment options such as collecting a cheque from your office or even cash payment.

So give it a real thought & make your own choice as to what you stand to gain or lose by opting for an OTA or an ‘offline’ travel advisor or consultant.
